Shiny by lunchtime?
Shine by midday, pores you notice in the mirror, and skin that never quite feels clean, however often you wash it.
Why tea tree
Tea tree leaf extract gives this jelly its fresh, clean character. Silica and diatomaceous earth, both fine mineral powders, help soak up oil at the surface as it sets, so skin feels fresh and matte after you peel. Like every Omorfia formula, it mixes, sets and peels the same way.
What you'll notice:
- A fresh, clean feel after peeling
- Less shine straight after
- A cool, clarifying feel as it sets

Full ingredients and what they do
Full ingredients, as on the jar: Aqua (Water), Diatomaceous Earth, Glucose, Algin, Calcium Sulfate, Tetrasodium Pyrophosphate, Silica, Magnesium Oxide, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Extract, CI 19140, CI 42090, Aroma
Key ingredients
- Diatomaceous earth (mineral powder): gives the powder body and helps it set into a firm layer that peels off in one piece.
- Sodium alginate (algin) (gel from brown seaweed): turns the powder into a cool jelly that sets and peels off in one piece.
- Calcium sulfate (mineral): works with the alginate to set the jelly.
- Tetrasodium pyrophosphate (setting control): slows the set a little, so you have time to smooth it on.
- Glucose (sugar): helps the powder mix in smoothly.
- Silica (mineral powder): soaks up oil at the surface, for a fresh, matte feel.
- Magnesium oxide (mineral): part of what sets the jelly.
- Tea tree leaf extract (botanical extract): gives the fresh, clean tea tree character.
- Fragrance (parfum or aroma): gives the jelly its scent.
- Colour (CI 17200 (pink), CI 19140 and CI 42090 (green)): gives the powder its colour.
How to use it
- Cleanse your face and neck.
- Stir 3 level tablespoons of powder into 2 tablespoons of cool water until smooth, like thick yoghurt.
- Smooth it on thickly with the flat end of the spatula straight away, keeping it away from your eyes, eyebrows, lips and hairline.
- Lie back for 15 to 20 minutes while it sets into jelly.
- Peel off in one piece from the jaw upward, then rinse.
Put the used mask in the bin, not down the drain. One to three times a week suits most people. More detail in how to use a jelly mask.
